I aspire to be that woman, but I'm afraid the reality this evening is I'm just a gal with a fondness for cappuccino, a deep-seeded hatred for that evil Exercise Bike O'Doom, and a fondness for taking random quizzes only because I'm trying to avoid devouring all the ice cream in the freezer because I just got off that d@mned bicycle a couple hours ago.
So anyway... I provided the link to each quiz, in case you'd like to take them too.

Just because you're practical, it doesn't mean you don't dream. You just like to put your dreams into action more than most people.
At first you dream big, but then you stop and think... Can your dream actually be achieved? You're willing to rethink and refine your dream until it is possible. And then you go act on it!

Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.
The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents, beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.
The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love.
Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time she can, in anger withhold; as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.

I never got around to sharing my grandmother's blog of poems. Click HERE to read.
I think I love her children's and witty poems the best. They really are treasures and have a lot of personality.
To name a couple of my personal favorites:
I Wonder... Old Man Will... Fickle Woman... My Darlin' Husband... Grandma Froze... Grandma Got Drunk... Memories... The Tree... Chanting... Preacher's Wife... The Still...
Okay, so maybe that's more than a couple.

Grandma doesn't know I'm pimpin' her artsy, writerly-self so feel free to browse her poems and leave a comment(s) if you wish. I'm sure she would be delighted to read them.

- Guess who will be having her birthday soon. That's right, Abby our sweet and adorable middle child! We're gonna have to give her and the girls some Frosty Paws ice cream in order to celebrate.
I wish like mad that I knew her exact birth date, but her papers don't say when that is. My brother says her birthday is sometime this coming week, but I read on one of her papers that on August 15, 2011 she was 5 years and 11 months old. I can't believe she's almost 7 years old! That makes me sad.

- Anyone else ever seen this movie? It's one of my favorite 60's flicks, starring Sandra Dee, Robert Goulet and Maurice Chevalier.
I am so glad I taped this off tv years ago, because as far as I know the only way to watch it these days is on YouTube. The quality of the YT videos are even poorer than my own copy, but it's better than nothing I guess. The only sections in the movie that I skip over are when Andy Williams sings two songs.

This is the movie I watch when I can't sleep or need a quick pick-me-up. It's just fun to watch, and I love Robert Goulet and Maurice Chevalier in this.

- Another rare classic that I stumbled upon by accident several years ago is "She Couldn't Say No" with Robert Mitchum and Jean Simmons.
Unfortunately, all I could find of the movie is the video above.

- I just had possibly one of the strangest dreams of my life. I wrote about it on my dreams blog HERE.

- Anyone have a 3-year old I can borrow? This one telemarketer is calling this house so much! They called 4 or 5 times the other day, so now I answer the phone and just set it down on a table for a minute or two.
And... I guess I'll go now. I've added to this post a couple times - not wanting to bore people with new posts - and Blogger keeps acting up.
