- This is truly A-m-a-z-i-n-g! I'm gonna be bossy here and just DEMAND that anyone reading this please watch this young man's performance. It will brighten your day.



And to think he never would have auditioned if not for his friend. I only hope that their friendship remains stable, as it's clear that Jonathan is definitely going places.

I cannot even begin to imagine being born with such a gift, and then discovering it while still so very young. He is one very lucky individual.



- Pictures... just 'cuz. I still suck at textures, but I'm used to disappointing myself in the creativity department. I'm still sticking to it though.

- On Idol last night, I enjoyed these performances the most.

- I found the most beautiful photos of the Texas bluebonnets last night. They were taken near New Braunsfels. Click on THIS blog to view them.

Seeing those photos really got me excited about possibly seeing the bluebonnets this weekend. I can't wait to take pictures of them! I'll just have to remember to pack a lot of extra batteries since they're always dying on me.

In case you missed it, I have older pics of the bluebonnets posted HERE. Last year we had the drought, so we didn't get to see the beauty's. These photos were probably taken 2 and 3 years ago, by both Mom and myself.



- New, extra footage of the space shuttle video that I posted earlier. It's almost 40 minutes long and shows several different camera angles. I think it was from 5 angles?

I love it around the 9:40 and 22:08 min mark, when the solid rocket boosters are separated. It's a beautiful sight. The part near the end though, around the 31 min mark, with the camera underwater... couldn't watch. It made me feel claustrophobic.



As amazing as this is, the first video HERE is still my favorite. It's edited beautifully, and Skywalker Sound did a fantastic job cleaning up the audio. (Nothing new was added, by the way. Those sounds you're hearing are the real deal).

And I HIGHLY recommend watching both videos in full screen mode.



- Good News!


Remember Abby's "Scary Adventure?" Well, my brother said that Abby always shakes like that the first half hour of a car trip. She's just excited, and we shouldn't worry. He says if she's scared, she'll try to jump out of our arms... which she didn't try even once, so I guess all is well with our little girl.

Space Shuttle & Disney

When next you have a moment to yourself without interruption, you might want to take a gander at this. It’s HD video of one of the space shuttle launches. I found it last night. The camera is on the rocket boosters, and the audio was remastered by Skywalker Sound. It's absolutely AMAZING when viewed in full screen mode and with headphones.

Below is a short excerpt of what you’ll find in the video:

Try to let what you're witnessing sink in. See those numbers flying past in the upper right hand corner? That's the Shuttle's airspeed. See that gleam of light against the inky backdrop of space at 2:08 and 3:11? That's the Shuttle continuing on its flight path into low Earth orbit. Hear the eerie rattling, haunting moans, and weird dinosaur noises? That's what it sounds like to be a Solid Rocket Booster, falling to Earth from an altitude of 150,000 feet.

So, fellow Earthlings... would YOU volunteer to go up into space if you had the opportunity? I believe I would. I’d be terrified, but I really think I’d go through with it.

Wall-E has got to be one of my favorite Disney films. The first time I saw it was when my brother and (now ex) SIL brought the movie with them. They were leaving for Disney World the next day, and we watched the movie that evening. They had already seen it, but I hadn't. I had one monster of a migraine that night, but that didn't stop me from becoming absolutely obsessed with this movie. Even my cell phone ringer is Wall-E.

I wish they would put Wall-E in Tomorrowland at MK already!



I loved this movie as a kid. It's so cute. I'm proud to say I own the dvd.



And this movie I LOVED as a kid. My sister and I both enjoyed it. They've renamed it "The Unidentified Flying Oddball," but I'll forever call it by it's original title: "A Spaceman in King Arthur's Court."



I can't wait to see the new Star Tours! My Mom said it was amazing, but the sad thing is she never got to see Planet Naboo. That's our favorite planet in all the Star Wars movies. (After all, it was filmed in beautiful Italy).

I just could not stop looking at these pictures on Pinterest the other night. I must have saved close to 200 of them. These images certainly puts things in perspective, doesn't it?

Anyone else like me, and feel more "at home" while looking at these sights? I don't think I belong on this planet. I'd be happy enough just zipping about, exploring up there in space. We're so restricted down here. It's so easy to forget that we're really just aimlessly floating about inside this huge blue marble amongst the stars.
