I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve. I mean I really can't believe it. Never in my whole life has the month of December rushed by so quickly.

I'm sick with a cold (Happy Christmas To Me!) but I've been wanting to post these pics that I found a while back. It's a good thing I'm not into sweets much because these look far too beautiful to eat.

Suffering from a cold can make me perform a miracle because I got on the exercise bike tonight. (I still can't breathe, even after trying THREE different types of medicine, and being active helps). I guess this means I'll start getting on that darn bike every single day again, without fail. Would you know I went an ENTIRE YEAR of getting on that boring old thing for 40 minutes a day?

And THAT is why I'm careful about making New Years Resolutions. I'm far too good at keeping them, and that horrid exercise bike proves it.

Christmas this weekend?

Is it just me, or has this December just flown by? It feels like we just put up the Christmas tree. All I know is that since I put up the village only last week, it isn't going to be packed away until a lot later.

I'm thinking around, say... Valentine's Day?

~♥~~♥~~♥~~♥~

1. The best way to spread Christmas cheer is ____________.

Come on, we all know Buddy the Elf was right. I double-dog dare anyone to argue with the Code of the Elves.

 photo freepr_zpscc215355.jpg

2. The thing I love most about Christmas is ____________.

The decorations, holiday specials and cooler weather.

Well, cooler weather when it DOES care to visit. (Only last week it was 80 degrees. At my house ice exists only in the freezer, with the Christmas Village and fake snowmen).

3. The holiday season is a time for ____________.

Focusing on the blessings you DO have. Showing your most special friends and/or family just how much you appreciate them.

4. My favorite thing to eat at the holidays is ____________.

Mom's stuffing, deviled eggs and homemade fudge.

5. I will be spending Christmas ____________.

Here at home with my parents and pets.

6. Tis better to (give or receive?) ____________.

Give of course.

7. I'm dreaming of a ____________.

White Christmas in Scotland, with a braw and kilted 16th century Highlander at my side inside a romantic old castle that has a cozy little library filled with books and a roaring fire....

Hey, you did say DREAMING. Photobucket I like to dream big and unrealistically, especially around Christmastime.

I sure am glad he's okay after almost getting himself killed the other day. No movie is worth risking your life over. WHAT was he and the crew thinking? They have stunt men for this kind of thing, and I think it's time he stopped doing his own so much. Hopefully this scare, and his Mama's firm talking-to over the holidays, will wake the old knucklehead up. And even if that scene didn't require a stunt man, they had no business filming in the same spot where a professional surfer lost his life.

Guess I'll stop rambling now. Not feeling too good. It looks like souvenirs weren't the only thing that the family brought home with them from Disney World, b/c now I've caught Mom's cold.

And here I really didn't think I was going to catch it.

IT'S OKAY....

- That I am still shaken up over what happened to Izzy.

- That the highlight of my week so far has been watching episodes of Mr. Bean with my cat.

- To be really excited that I now have TWO recycling bins.

- That "Once Upon a Time" doesn't air again this week. If I can survive months of no Doctor Who, I can certainly survive 2 weeks without OUAT.

Right?

- To want to learn how to draw, yet I still haven't even tried. Everything begins with just a thought.

- That I'm addicted to Iced Mocha's from McDonald's. Photobucket (I realize I mentioned this recently, but it really does bear repeating).

- That this is possibly the most boring "It's Okay" post in Bloggerdom.

Today, I am loving

Photobucket

- I'm loving... that my little pommie, Izzy, is okay. She gave Mom and I quite the scare last night. We had thought she broke her leg (after leaping off Mom's bed). I will never get that image of her hurt out of my mind. Thank goodness, she's okay now because for several minutes there she was in a lot of pain. Mom immediately got dressed to take her to a vet (where, at that hour, we didn't know) while I sat with her.

I'll never get that image of her in pain out of my mind. Even after she was okay, I couldn't sleep. I got on the computer, turned it off and then immediately turned it back on to distract myself with Netflix. I watched a Mr. Bean episode and then "Texas Across the River." Lol! Even today, I can't stop hugging Izzy and making sure she's fine. And I freely admit... I teared up over all this last night and then a tiny bit this morning. I've just never seen such pain on a pet before. It was horrible and I am just so grateful that she's okay. I think her leg must have popped out of socket, and then popped back in.

- I'm loving... that I don't have children to worry myself sick over. (See above)

- I'm loving... that last night's incident didn't happen last week, when I was here all alone while everyone else was at Disney World for 7 days... in another STATE!

- I'm loving... the fact that the animals took so beautifully to their change in sleeping arrangements last night. (No more sleeping in Mom's bed). They really are such good little girls.

- I'm loving... how the weather is finally cooler today; 60 degrees currently.

- I'm loving... these lovely Christmasy images!

"Pluto, we've got chipmunks in our tree!"

Current Mood: Photobucket

Mickey and Pluto might have mischievous chipmunks in their Christmas tree, but in this house we have a cat under ours.

Not that we're supposed to know this, mind you. I really think Wendy believes she's invisible to the human eye while lounging under there.

That last picture has the great makings of a story. What (or whom) is behind that door?
